When one of the lines connecting  Coastguard Waiheke’s vessel Waiheke Rescue to its Matiatia mooring broke in the May storm, we were all too pleased to offer the unit a berth for its 10.2m Naiad.

The crew tell us they are enjoying the convenience of marina living

Coastguard Waiheke is a volunteer unit that was established in 1990. This means when they get a call to help, the crew leave their dayjobs or their families to hit the water.

Kennedy Point is a central location that provides fast access to the inner Hauraki Gulf. We are enjoying having them here.
